Poways Brandon Sullivan sets the record straight

A recent newspaper article recently painted Poway (Calif.) High standout Brandon Sullivan as a soft verbal commitment to the San Diego State Aztecs. The 5-foot-10, 217 pound running back prospect took time out to talk with AztecSportsReport.com about his recruitment…
Sullivan claims scholarship offers from Boise State, James Madison, San Diego State, Colorado State, Duke, Montana State and Cal Poly.

He has an in-home visit lined up with Colorado State for tomorrow night and plans to take an official visit to Boise State the weekend of December 16th.
While Sullivan maintains interest in the Aztecs, he does not consider himself a verbal commitment. "I've tried to clear that up but I haven't been able to get in touch with anybody," he said. "Because I didn't commit. All I said was I would only go there if the running backs coach stayed.
"I've decided to consider all my offers because you never know what could happen."
SDSU offered Sullivan a scholarship after evaluating some of his senior film.
"I was surprised when I went to one of the games and when I went to the buffet before the game, all the coaches came running up to me," he said. "They were telling me they fell in love when they saw me drag six guys into the end zone."
Sullivan was named the Palomar League MVP after rushing for 1,556 yards and 24 touchdowns this season. He also recorded 60 tackles at defensive back.
"I'm a tough guy, I like to get after it and hit people," Sullivan expressed. "That is just fun for me. I run hard and really know how to make you miss in the open field.
"I'm not like those super fast kids but I can play and I'm fast enough. I can play just about any skill position and do well at it. I have a lot of power."
