Last May, San Diego State was the first program to offer Neil Spencer a scholarship. The early attention paid off. Spencer, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive tackle from Las Vegas (Nev.) Cimarron-Memorial, committed to the Aztecs earlier this week. Get the inside scoop on San Diego State's newest commitment.

Nation's leading rusher sets up visits

One of the best players that many aren't aware of is three-star athlete prospect Ryan Mathews from Bakersfield (Calif.) West. He ended up playing quarterback most of the year and still led the nation in rushing with 3,396 yards and had 44 rushing touchdowns. With his senior season in the books, Mathews has shifted focus to his recruiting. He has set up three official visits.
