One reason Ryan Lindley was attracted to San Diego State during the recruiting process was the chance to start early in his career at quarterback. Lindley made the first strides to a long career behind center at SDSU when he was named the No. 1 quarterback by head coach Chuck Long and offensive coordinator Del Miller following spring drills. The job is open after Kevin O’Connell finished his career and was a third-round draft pick by the New England Patriots.
