BruinSportsReport.com If you know anything about the athletic programs at the two largest universities in Los Angeles, then you surely are aware that UCLA is the preeminent program in college basketball, while USC has as much tradition on the gridiron as any school in amateur football.
Sure, the Bruins have a fine tradition of their own on the football field, and USC comes up with a pretty good basketball team once in a while, but for the most part, the roles of 'basketball school' and 'football school' have been designated long ago, and nothing will ever change the perception.
