Turnover Wednesday Report

Fumbles are the name of the game every Wednesday, deemed 'Turnover Wednesday' by the coaching staff. No position on the team is focused more on forcing those fumbles than the linebacker corps.

"We chirp at each other to get the ball and it keeps us motivated," Sophomore Linebacker Kaluka Maiava said. "We all want to be the one who gets the ball out."

Maiava is an unsung, but equally talented, member of that unit. He is currently backing up Keith Rivers, who was recently named the Pac-10 Mid-Season Player of the Year by Pat Forde of ESPN.com.

"It's alright, everybody wants to be on the field more," said Maiava. "It takes time, especially since I'm behind Keith, but I've got no regrets."
